Nicole is an attorney and mediator who handles family law and civil mediations for the firm. Having practiced in courts across Alabama, she brings a practical understanding of litigation and a compassionate approach to helping people resolve disputes. She values mediation as an opportunity for participants to be heard, consider their options, and take an active role in shaping a resolution.
Nicole’s commitment to family law is deeply personal. Her own childhood experience in the family law system inspired her to become an attorney. She still remembers the lawyer who helped her feel comfortable in an unfamiliar courtroom and brought reassurance to a difficult time. That experience continues to shape her work: she understands that behind every case are real people whose families, relationships, and futures are affected by the process.
Nicole believes the legal process should never lose sight of the people it serves. As a mediator, she brings patience, empathy, and respect for each participant’s perspective while helping move difficult conversations toward practical solutions. Her background in psychology and criminal justice informs her understanding of both the human and legal dimensions of conflict.
Nicole earned bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Columbia Southern University, graduating cum laude, and her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law, where she was a member of the Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama in 2021.
Outside the office, Nicole’s greatest joys are her family and her dogs. She and her husband share three children, and she proudly answers to “Lolli” to her grandson, affectionately known as “Cricket.” She enjoys raising, training, and showing her Giant Schnauzers, Miniature Schnauzers, and German Shepherd in dog sports across the country. Her love of dogs also inspired her children’s book, The Copper Cottage Canines, published in 2025.
